Reporter: Dear Ms. Christina, Hello! It is an honor to have the opportunity to interview you. I heard that you participated in the whole rehabilitation process of child in China. We are every thankful for your efforts. What do you think the differences between China and U.S. when you use CLM.

记者：尊敬的Christina女士，您好！很荣幸有机会采访到您。听说您参与了中国孩子的整个康复治疗，非常感谢您的付出，您感觉在中国做CLM，与美国有什么不同？

Christina: I think that CLM is a system that unites people. I don't see very many differences between China and USA when a family understands what being taught and we get to work as a team. the CLM allows us to use common terms which ensures that no matter where we are we can develop competent learner

Christina: 我认为CLM是一个可以团结人们的系统，当一个家庭接受训练并且我们作为一个团队一起工作，我不认为中国和美国之间的CLM有什么不同，CLM 允许我们用共同术语，而这让人们不管在哪，都能发展我们有能力的学习者。

Reporter: How do you think the differences between CLM coaches in US work at client home and the coaches in China work at clinic?

记者：您认为美国的CLM教练在客户家中工作与中国的CLM教练在诊所工作有何不同?

Christina: I would say that it depends. We have implementations where coaches go into community settings, clinics, homes and classrooms. I think the amazing effort of the coaches in China to help the families generalize the skills is fantastic. The clinic allows parents to see how the CLM can change their child's participation within a group that is often not demonstrated with the home programs in the US.

Christina: 我想说这要看情况，我们实现了教练进入社区、诊所、家庭和教室，我认为中国的教练在帮助家庭泛化技能方面所做的惊人努力是非常了不起的。深圳美灵星临床心理专科门诊部（Maxstar）诊所让家长看到CLM如何改变他们孩子在团体中的参与，这在美国的家庭项目中通常没法得到证明。

Reporter: Base on the situation that the US coaches can train the children at home. Is it means that the parent will involve to the training more?

记者：基于这种情况，美国教练可以在家里训练孩子。这是否意味着家长会更多地参与到训练中来?

Christina: I would say coaching in the home there maybe more generalization across setting. We can ensure that the behaviors that are happening in one setting or happening in other setting. I think the structure of the coaching at Maxstar helps the clinician model more efficiently for the family.

Christina: 我想说的是，在家里进行辅导可能会有更多的泛化。我们可以确保在一个环境中或在另一个环境中发生的行为。我认为深圳美灵星临床心理专科门诊部（Maxstar）的训练结构有助于临床医生更有效地为家庭建立模型。

Reporter: In China, we give the child prefer items, like snacks, to motivate their behaviors. But some parents don't like their children to have snacks in training. Is it same in US?

记者：在中国，我们会给孩子偏好物去激发他们的行为，比如像零食之类的，但有些父母并不喜欢他们的孩子在训练中吃零食，在美国会有这种情况吗？

Christina: I think using edibles for reinforcement is an individual decision and we have some families that are comfortable with it and some that do not. So sometimes in those situation, we as professionals have to try and find additional things to do instead. I will give you an example, sometime parents don't want us to give food to their students because they are worried about the kids getting too much sweet or too much of some thing. Then we have to work on developing additional items to be potentially reinforcing items. That one of the reason why I say that there's not a lot of differences with the CLM across countries. We get to work as a team to develop the skills. That happen no matter where we were coaching.

Christina: 我认为使用食用食品作为强化物是个人的决定，有些家庭对此感到满意，有些则不然。在这种情况下，我们作为专业人员要去找出其他物品作为替代。我给一个例子，有时候家长不想我们给食物给他们的孩子是因为他们担心孩子吃太多糖分，或者太多其他的东西，然后我们便需要发展这些替代物，这也是其中一个原因。我认为CLM在不同国家之间没有很大的区别，我们作为团队一起去发展技能，而这不管在哪里训练都一样的。

Reporter: How many years have you work with CLM? What advantages do you feel CLM has?

记者：您从事CLM多少年？您感觉CLM系统有哪些优势？

Christina: I work with CLM for over twenty years. I feel like the advantages of the CLM has is that it unite everyone and that we all have a common system, common language. And that we're working towards a common goal. If we can get everyone on the team, the OT, the Speech, the psychiatrist, the doctor and the parent all talking in the same language. We can achieve goals faster and more consistently.

Christina: 我在CLM系统下工作已经超过20年了。我认为CLM的优点是可以让我们在同一系统，同一语言下团结大家，我们致力于共同目标。如果我们可以让大家团结，那职业治疗师、语言治疗师、精神科医生、医生和父母都能在同一语言下沟通，我们可以更快更持久地实现目标。

Reporter: What is the advantages of CLM compare to other treatments in US?

记者：与美国其他治疗方法相比，CLM有什么优势?

Christina: I think one of the advantage is that we learn a common language. So we talk about the repertoire, we talk about the skills that we want to teach in the same way. So we become much more efficient in delivering common instruction. The other advantage like I said in the first question is it unite us. I think that is one of the biggest advantages. If people are using the CLM, discussing the development of the repertoire, all professionals are talking about it all in the same way and then developing the skills more consistently. This really make a huge difference in terms of the success of the student also. 

Christina: 我认为这样做的好处之一是我们可以学习一种共同的语言。所以我们谈论技能总和，我们谈论我们想以同样的方式教授的技能，所以我们在传递普通指令时变得更有效率。

另一个好处就像我在第一个问题中说的，CLM把我们团结起来，我认为这是最大的优势之一；如果人们在使用CLM，讨论技能总和的发展，那么所有的专业人员都在以同样的方式谈论它，然后更加一致地发展技能，这对学生的成功也有很大的影响。

Reporter: At present, the Chinese government has control over the Corona Virus Disease. Are you willing to come to China to host the CLM if the control is ended?

记者：目前中国政府对疫情有管理政策，如果管理政策有所调整，您是否愿意亲自来中国主持工作？

Christina: Yes, absolutely.
